The Hornbill Foundation has been working with the Kadar indigenous community in Vazhachal-Malakkapara part of Anamalais of Western Ghats with support from the Forest, Tribal, Revenue Departments and Panchayat on right based conservation, empowerment and Education since 2004. This site is to provide resources available on Community Forest Resource (CFR) and it management under the Forest Right Act (FRA) 2006. This was Developed with the support of CED and CEPF ATREE Western Ghats Small Grant Programme 2012.

Post CFR Workshop at Thrissur

The next workshop will be at Sahithya academy Hall, Thrissur on 31st October in collaboration, with Keraleeyam, CED, AADI Attappadi and Thampu. In this workshop more focus is on Conservation, Protected Areas and CFRs. Dr. S. Sankar former Scientist of KFRI deliver the keynote address.

Post CFR Workshop at Ernakulam

A similar consultation and serious discussion was happened at Renewal Centre Eranakulam on 26th October 2014. Representatives from various tribal GS of Eranakulam and Idukki district, Keystone Foundation, River Research Centre, AdivasiGothramasabhaetc further enriched the consultation on CFR and post CFR governance and management.
